Job Summary/Basic Function
The WVPAC Support Technician’s primarily responsibilities are to setup, operate, maintain, and strike events in the Winter Visual & Performing Arts Center’s venues. Level 1 vs. level 2 hiring is based on prior experience and current knowledge.
Required Qualifications
- Have prior experience with Audience or Talent Management, Audio Recording or Reinforcement, FX, Lighting, Costuming, Properties, Networking, Rigging, or Video equipment.
- Have a positive attitude, and the ability to work well with other students, staff, faculty and the general public.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Being accurate and attentive to detail
- Customer-service oriented
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in troubleshooting, programming, and repairing Audio, FX, Lighting, Costuming, Properties, or Video equipment and systems.
- A background in the Live Performance & Entertainment industry.
- Minimum 2.5 GPA
Job Duties
Possible duties include:
- Back-of-House Management, Front-of-House Management, etc.
- Setup, operate, maintain, and strike equipment and venues.
- Update and maintain all paperwork, and/or other systems which allow other workers to successfully perform their duties.
- Cross-train with other production departments and equipment.
- All other duties as assigned.
