Lighting contractor located in the Sunset Park section of Brooklyn is looking for someone with: A lighting background having someone with relevant background or knowledge of the drawings would be beneficial.. An entry level position for a recent college grad to work in their Quoting/Estimating department.Work hand and hand with the project management and sales team while using your math, logic, and customer service skills. Duties include:Our client, a Lighting Contractor located in the Sunset Park section of Brooklyn, is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Recent Graduate to join their dynamic team.This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to kickstart their careers and gain valuable experience in a professional environment. The Recent Graduate will have the opportunity to learn how to estimate and quote projects for the design, manufacturing, and distribution of lighting fixtures.-DutiesEffectively read and evaluate architectural and electrical drawingsConduct a detailed takeoff of lighting structures as shown on the drawingsRead and check lighting specifications to insure they are in sync with layout and application on drawingsInteract with clients if inconsistencies in specifications are discoveredEstimate lighting changes for bulletins/addendums on projects in progressPrepare bid packages based on customer's bill of materialCollaborate with management/sales team on proposals -QualificationsRecent graduateAny experience with Estimating/Takeoffs is a plus but not necessaryStrong analytical skills with attention to detail.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.Self-motivated with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
