Accounts Receivable Specialist- Temp to Hire
We’re seeking a customer-focused Accounts Receivable Specialist to manage B2B accounts, collect past-due balances, resolve billing issues, and support healthy cash flow. You’ll work closely with customers, Sales, and Customer Service to keep accounts current while building strong business relationships.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, day shift
Location: Onsite in Perth Amboy, NJ
Responsibilities
- Contact customers about outstanding balances and answer A/R inquiries.
- Coordinate credit holds and releases.
- Review short payments, reconcile accounts, and resolve billing disputes.
- Apply cash and credit card payments to open invoices.
- Monitor A/R aging and work to meet collection targets.
- Partner with Sales and Customer Service on credit policy and procedures.
- Scan and maintain required paperwork.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- At least 2 years of A/R experience, especially in collections and dispute resolution.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices, and collection regulations.
- Ability to make credit decisions within company guidelines.
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Copilot.
- Strong communication, organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
Salary : $23 - $28
