Inside Sales Representative
Location: Wixom, MI
Work Arrangement: Onsite
A growing industrial equipment manufacturer is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to join its Wixom, Michigan team. This role is focused on generating new business opportunities, re-engaging dormant customers, qualifying leads, and supporting the outside sales team.
The ideal candidate is proactive, comfortable on the phone, organized, and motivated by measurable sales activity and growth.
Responsibilities
- Conduct outbound calls and emails to prospective and existing customers
- Research and re-engage dormant customer accounts
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities
- Ask discovery questions to understand customer needs and potential applications
- Maintain accurate CRM records, follow-up activity, and pipeline information
- Coordinate qualified opportunities with Area Sales Managers
- Support quoting, customer follow-up, and opportunity development
- Track sales activity, response rates, lead conversion, and other performance metrics
- Build strong customer relationships through consistent communication and follow-through
- Assist with market research and identifying potential new accounts
Qualifications
- Previous experience in inside sales, business development, account development, or technical sales
- Experience selling into manufacturing, industrial equipment, automation, machinery, packaging, food processing, MRO, or a related technical market is preferred
- Comfortable with outbound prospecting and cold calling
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience working with CRM systems and managing multiple opportunities
- Self-motivated, accountable, and comfortable working toward sales goals
- Ability to learn technical products and communicate their value to customers
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience
Compensation
- Target commission of approximately 30% of base salary
- Additional upside for above-target performance
This is a fully onsite position in Wixom, Michigan.
