The business has a long-standing reputation in engineered products and motion systems…they 're investing heavily in modernization, automation, and operational scale. Seeking a hands-on COO to help integrate the business, modernize operations, and build the foundation for long-term growth.
This role is highly visible and will serve as the CEO’s operational partner across manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, quality, and commercial execution. The mandate is not maintenance. It is transformation, operational discipline, and scalable growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day operations across manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, quality, and facilities
- Drive operational excellence initiatives focused on throughput, margin improvement, and delivery performance
- Integrate a recently acquired controls/system integration business into the broader organization
- Implement scalable systems, KPIs, and processes across the operation
- Bring a new sense of strategy, execution, and organizational alignment
- Build accountability while leading a long-tenured workforce through change
- Support automation, Manufacturing 4.0, and technology-enabled process improvements
- Help position the organization for long-term scale and market expansion
- Develop leadership infrastructure and help shape the future direction of the company
Ideal Background
- Senior operations leadership experience within industrial manufacturing or engineered products
- Proven success scaling operations and improving profitability
- Experience leading manufacturing transformation and change management initiatives
- Strong cross-functional leadership across operations, engineering, supply chain, and commercial teams
- Hands-on leadership style with strong business acumen
- Experience in privately held or entrepreneurial manufacturing environments preferred
- Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, highly accountable culture
- Executive presence and leadership capability to grow into a broader enterprise leadership role over time
