Application Engineer – Industrial Automation | Boston, MA
Are you an automation engineer who enjoys solving complex technical problems while working directly with customers?
We are seeking an Application Engineer to join an established industrial automation organization supporting customers throughout the Boston/New England market.
This is a highly technical, customer-facing position where you’ll help manufacturers and machine builders determine how advanced automation technologies can solve real-world challenges. You’ll partner closely with engineering and sales, leading technical conversations from initial discovery and demonstrations through prototyping, development, and implementation.

What We’re Looking For
• Engineering, automation or mechatronics degree
• 3 years of relevant industrial automation experience
• Hands-on experience architecting, programming and commissioning control systems
• Strong PLC, motion, robotics, HMI and industrial networking knowledge
• Experience owning production control software
• Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with customers
• A problem-solving mindset and genuine interest in automation technology
Location: Boston, MA / New England region
Work Model: Remote with designated team collaboration days in the Boston area
Travel: Up to 50%, depending on customer and project needs
