What are the responsibilities and job description for the Office Administrator position at Miller Paneling Specialties?
Miller Paneling Specialties is a fast-growing commercial construction company, specializing in wall paneling and wall protection systems seeking a temporary Office Administrator in our Woodland, CA location. This position will be in an office setting Monday through Friday, 7am to 3:30 pm. Paid weekly with benefits! Currently, the position is temporary.
Our company operates at a fast-paced level which will require the ideal candidate to possess the ability to operate multi-line phones with heavy call volume with a strong sense of customer service and attention to detail. Our ideal candidate is outgoing with high energy and possesses excellent computer skills.
DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls
- Provides administrative support to ensure efficient operation of office.
- Answer phone calls, schedules meetings and supports visitors.
- Handle and distribute mail within the office.
- Carries out administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning, etc.
- Makes travel arrangements such as booking flights, cars, and hotel reservations.
- Track expenses (travel, office supplies).
- Maintain tidiness throughout the office.
- Exhibits polite and professional communication via phone, email, and mail.
- Supports team by performing tasks related to organization and strong communication.
- Ensure operations of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, calling for repairs, maintaining equipment inventories and evaluating new equipment and techniques.
- Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing, and expediting orders for supplies.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven admin or assistant experience
- Proficient written and communication skills
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Organizational and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
- Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g., fax machines and printers)

- Time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
- High School Diploma/GED or higher level of education
