Internship Role
1st Shift M-F (start time flexible 7AM or 8AM) 8 hr shift
Pay Rate: $20.00 p/h
All workers can start with Background Pending- No drug test required
We are seeking a hardworking and determined Engineering student to join our team as a summer intern. Students are typically assigned a mentor who will direct their summer or co-op work experience. Work on project assignments will be commensurate with the student's academic background to take advantage of their technical expertise and provide real life application of their classroom knowledge. At the same time, opportunities will be provided for students to expand their knowledge outside the boundaries of their classroom experiences.

Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and best practices, and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies and procedures. Regular, punctual attendance is an essential job function. Ability to read and write and converse in English. Willing and able to uphold BD Values.
Primary Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Successful completion of work/project assignments
Gain application experience of curriculum
SUPERVISION
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Possesses or currently pursuing a degree in Engineering
Available to work a minimum of eight continuous weeks
Must be willing to work in any of our Columbus manufacturing locations
Fabrication, Automation, Industrial Experience (preferred)

- Provide support in a fast paced, high volume manufacturing environment
- Troubleshooting/Root Cause analysis
- Work with a mentor on project assignments which are commensurate with academic background
- Work with a mentor on project assignments outside of classroom curriculum to gain experience
- Apply classroom knowledge to real life applications while using technical expertise
- Other duties as required to support the needs of the business.

- Minimum Education:
- H.S, Diploma/GED BA/BS Degree- Preferred Completed Sophomore year in an engineering program
- Minimum Experience/Qualifications:
Legally authorized to work in the United States
