Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Dietary Aide/Cook/Prep to join our team in providing exceptional meal service and nutritional support within a healthcare or assisted living environment. The ideal candidate will assist with food preparation, serving, and sanitation duties while ensuring residents or patients receive respectful and timely care. Responsibilities
- Assist with food production, meal preparation, and plating according to dietary guidelines and safety standards
- Serve meals to residents or patients in a courteous and professional manner
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas in compliance with health regulations
- Buss tables, clean dining areas, and assist with general sanitation duties to maintain a hygienic environment
- Support dietary department staff with inventory management and food storage procedures
- Follow all safety protocols related to food safety, sanitation, and infection control
- Assist with meal delivery and setup for special events or dietary needs as required
- Provide excellent customer service by attending to residents’ or patients’ needs promptly and respectfully
Skills
- Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is preferred
- Knowledge of food production, preparation, and serving techniques
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment in the dietary or culinary department
- Customer service skills with a caring attitude towards residents or patients
- Experience with food handling, bussing, cooking, and meal preparation is highly desirable
- Familiarity with dietary guidelines and dietetics principles is a plus
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards consistently
- Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with kitchen staff and caregiving teams
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
