Job Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Tumbling Instructor and ignite the passion for acrobatics, gymnastics, and physical fitness in participants of all ages! In this energetic role, you will lead engaging tumbling classes, teach fundamental and advanced skills, and foster a safe, motivating environment for children and teens to develop their agility, strength, and confidence. Your expertise will inspire students to reach new heights while ensuring safety protocols are strictly followed. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact through sports coaching and physical education instruction. We are open from 4 pm-8 pm M-Thurs, so hours are limited to after school times.
Duties
- Lead engaging tumbling classes for children and teens, demonstrating proper techniques for flips, rolls, handstands, and other acrobatic skills
- Develop customized lesson plans that cater to different skill levels and age groups
- Ensure the safety of all participants by enforcing safety guidelines and supervising equipment use
- Provide clear, constructive feedback to help students improve their skills and build confidence
- Maintain a clean, organized training area and inspect equipment regularly for safety compliance
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding student progress and behavior management
- Incorporate fun, motivational teaching methods to encourage participation and teamwork
- Choreograph an Acro dance for our spring recital
Skills
- Prior experience as a Tumbling Instructor or in sports-specific training instruction with a focus on gymnastics or acrobatics
- Strong background in gymnastics, cheerleading, martial arts (such as Karate or Judo), or similar disciplines
- Experience working with children and managing behavior in a group setting
- Excellent communication skills to clearly instruct students and engage with parents or guardians
- Ability to demonstrate tumbling techniques confidently
- Team leadership qualities with a passion for coaching youth sports and physical education activities
