Milgard Windows & Doors is growing our Quality team in Fife, WA and is looking for quality‑minded professionals at all experience levels—from entry‑level inspectors to experienced or lead‑level Quality Technicians.

About the Role
This is a hands‑on, manufacturing‑floor quality role supporting vinyl manufacturing processes. Depending on experience level, responsibilities may range from inspection and documentation support to analyzing defects, mentoring others, and partnering with production leaders on corrective action.
We are building a deep bench of quality talent, so this posting supports multiple levels within the Quality department.
What You’ll Do (Based on Experience Level)
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections on manufactured product
- Use measurement tools such as calipers, tape measures, rulers, and other quality tools
- Identify defects and out‑of‑spec conditions with a high level of attention to detail
- Document inspection results, findings, and corrective actions accurately
- Read and follow work instructions and quality procedures
- Support root cause analysis and problem‑solving efforts
- Partner with Production, Engineering, and Quality leadership
- Assist with updating work instructions and quality documentation

For senior/lead roles:
- Support or mentor junior quality team members
- Help identify trends, drive continuous improvement, and lead containment efforts
What We’re Looking For
✅ Must‑Have Qualifications

Experience working in a manufacturing environment
(Non‑food manufacturing required; food production backgrounds do not align) - Basic computer skills (data entry, systems navigation, documentation)
- Strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking abilities
- High level of attention to detail and consistency
- Ability to work graveyard shift (6 PM–6 AM) on a 2‑2‑3 schedule
- Ability to lift 50 lbs as needed
- Preferred (Not Required)
- Experience using calipers, measurement tapes, gauges, or other quality tools

Quality or inspection experience in industries such as:
- Aerospace
- Metal fabrication
- Machining
- Plastics
- Automotive
- Building materials
- Experience with documentation or work‑instruction writing
- Leadership, mentoring, or lead experience
- Familiarity with quality tools or methodologies (e.g., basic DMAIC concepts)
