Fife, WA
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay: $22–$25/hour (DOE)
Overtime: Required as needed
Position Overview
Milgard Windows & Doors is seeking a reliable and detail‑oriented Receiver I to support our internal supply operations in Fife, WA. This role is responsible for receiving, inspecting, and organizing incoming materials used in vinyl extrusion production, ensuring accuracy, proper storage, and efficient material flow throughout the facility.
This is a hands‑on role for someone who is self‑motivated, enjoys staying active, and takes pride in maintaining an organized and efficient workspace.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders
- Inspect materials for damage, shortages, or discrepancies and report issues as needed
- Accurately enter receipts into the inventory system
- Label, store, and rotate materials following FIFO (First In, First Out) guidelines
- Safely operate warehouse equipment, including stand‑up forklifts and pallet jacks
- Move materials both manually and by equipment (approximately 50/50)
- Load, unload, sort, and process returns, including outdoor work as needed (rain gear provided)
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized receiving and warehouse area
- Support cycle counts and inventory control activities
- Stay productive during downtime by organizing, cleaning, or assisting other teams
- Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- 0–2 years of warehouse, receiving, or material handling experience preferred
- Forklift experience strongly preferred (stand‑up forklift a plus)
- Basic computer and math skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Reliable, self‑motivated, and team‑oriented
- Willingness to work overtime as needed to support production and business demands
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a fast‑paced environment
Work Environment
- Manufacturing and warehouse setting
- Combination of indoor and outdoor work
- Regular use of PPE required
- Exposure to varying weather conditions when working outside
