Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Supplier Management:
• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers.
• Obtain multiple quotes for each purchase requirement to ensure competitive pricing.
• Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts with vendors.
• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with key suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance to ensure quality and delivery standards.
• Procurement Process:
• Generate and process purchase orders in a timely manner.
• Review and analyze purchase requisitions and coordinate with departments to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure that all procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures.
• Inventory Management:
• Monitor inventory levels and manage reorder points to avoid stockouts or overstock situations.
• Track and manage inventory turnover rates and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly.
• Market Research:
• Stay informed about market trends, new products, and suppliers.
• Conduct market research to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
• Cost Control:
• Obtain and compare multiple quotes for procurement requests to ensure the best value.
• Analyze and compare prices to ensure competitiveness and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop and implement cost-saving strategies and initiatives.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory.
• Prepare and present reports on purchasing activities, trends, and savings opportunities.
• Problem Solving:
• Address and resolve issues related to procurement, such as delays, discrepancies, and quality concerns.
• Implement corrective actions and follow up to ensure resolution.
  

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
• Experience: 2 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in a similar industry.
• Skills:
• Strong negotiation and communication abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Experience with ERP systems required; Epicor ERP experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
  
  

 Certifications: Purchasing certifications such as CPP or CPSM are a plus.
