Field Service Mechanic - II

The Job:

• The secure maintenance and repair of diverse complex rental machinery, encompassing electrical, diesel, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
• Travel to customer job sites for the repair and maintenance of rental equipment; it is essential to keep the service vehicle in a clean and professional condition.
• Ensure that all paperwork and electronic documentation related to work performed (work orders) is maintained accurately and promptly daily.
• Aid in the collection and delivery of parts and equipment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• A high school diploma or its equivalent is required.
• A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record is necessary.
• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in the repair and maintenance of equipment and tools is essential.
• An advanced mechanical aptitude and a comprehensive understanding of tools are required.
• A robust mechanical knowledge of various engine types is mandatory.
• Candidates must possess the tools relevant to the position.
• Exceptional customer service, teamwork, and both verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Field Service Mechanic – Physical & Environmental Requirements

• Perform physical labor in remote job sites, customer locations, and uneven terrain
• Lift, carry, and handle tools and parts weighing up to 50 lbs regularly
• Ability to climb on, around, and under heavy equipment for inspection and repair
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat and inclement weather common to Texas
• Exposure to noise, dust, fuels, oils, hydraulic fluid, and construction site hazards
• Ability to operate service vehicles safely and load/unload tools and equipment
• Ability to work independently and respond to emergency or after-hours service calls as required
