We’re looking for a driven, relationship-focused Business Development Manager to help expand our client roster and identify new opportunities for agency growth.
Position Overview
The Business Development Manager is responsible for generating new business opportunities, building strategic relationships, and driving revenue growth for the agency. This individual will identify prospective clients, develop relationships with decision-makers, uncover marketing challenges, and position Mighty 8th’s services as solutions that help businesses grow.
This role is ideal for someone who understands consultative selling, enjoys networking, and is passionate about helping organizations improve their marketing performance and brand presence.

Responsibilities
- Generate qualified leads through networking, referrals, prospecting, outreach campaigns, and strategic partnerships.
- Build relationships with business owners, CEOs, marketing leaders, and key decision-makers.
- Conduct discovery meetings to understand client goals, challenges, and opportunities.
- Collaborate with agency leadership to develop customized solutions and proposals.
- Present agency capabilities, case studies, and recommendations to prospective clients.
- Manage the sales pipeline from prospecting through contract execution.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and sales forecasts.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, chamber meetings, and networking functions.
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling within existing client relationships.
- Stay informed on marketing trends, industry developments, and competitive landscape.
- Meet or exceed monthly and annual revenue targets.
Qualifications
- 3 years of business development, sales, or agency account growth experience.
- Proven track record of generating new business and closing deals.
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent presentation and communication abilities.
- Ability to understand marketing strategy and communicate value to executives.
- Experience selling professional services, marketing services, technology solutions, or consulting services preferred.
- Self-starter with strong organizational and follow-through skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
