What are the responsibilities and job description for the Irrigation Technician position at Midwest Landscape Industries, Inc.?
Midwest Landscape Industries, Inc. (MLI) is seeking a skilled and motivated Irrigation Technician to lead and execute irrigation installations across various landscape projects. This role is responsible for all phases of installation—from planning and layout to execution and crew management. If you’re a hands-on leader with a strong understanding of irrigation systems and a passion for quality work, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
Services and maintains irrigation systems.
- Ability to service and troubleshoot all major brands of irrigation equipment.
- Interacts directly with customers, distributors of products and company management.
- Ability to understand water flow, general calculations, and basic water management.
- Capable to understand new software and technology.
- Good people skills are a strong plus.
- Minimum of 2 years’ hands-on training or a related service field experience required.
- Manage parts inventory, ordering and service truck stock.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
Qualifications
- Experience in irrigation repair and troubleshooting is preferred but willing to train the right individual.
Sales/Customer Service
- Ensure customer satisfaction.
- Resolve and / or route any customer complaint and enter them into call log.
- Prepare estimate for major repairs and addition.
- Document all change orders & Additional Work Authorizations
