Job Summary
The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the parts room while supporting the planning, scheduling, and coordination of the maintenance activities for the laundry plant. This role ensures the availability of parts, materials and supplies required for efficient operations by monitoring inventory levels, processing orders, coordinating with vendors and contractors, and maintaining performance, assist with maintenance projects and help ensure preventative maintenance programs are effectively executed. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the flexibility to support operational needs while maintaining budget and service objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate maintenance activities, including preventative, predictive and corrective work
- Manage parts inventory to ensure critical supplies are available when needed
- Order, receive, track and organize parts, materials and supplies
- Collaborate with maintenance technicians, productions teams, vendors and contractors
- Monitor maintenance performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
- Maintain an organized, safe, and efficient parts room/inventory
- Support maintenance projects and provide operational coverage as required
- Ensure activities are completed within budget and company standards
- Perform miscellaneous labor activities to help other workers as needed
Qualifications and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree, associate degree, or relevant certification preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in industrial, manufacturing, production or facilities maintenance
- Experience with maintenance planning, scheduling, work orders and CMMS systems
- Understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or industrial equipment maintenance
- Strong organizational, communication and coordination skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance activities and changing production requirements
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
- Ability to read maintenance manuals, equipment documentation, drawings and parts information
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Familiar with OSHA and industrial safety requirements
- Experience in managing inventory or warehousing
Working Conditions
- Physically demanding and includes sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling and lifting
- Comfortable working around and with industrial laundry equipment
- Hours of work: 730am - 4pm
- Salary: $60k - $65k
Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
