Midwest Healthcare Linen Service is a family-owned company with more than 1700 employees committed to being an industry leader in sustainable healthcare. We provide professional healthcare laundry services and a wide range of reusable textiles and surgical products, designed to support patient care at hospitals and long-term care facilities. We own and operate highly efficient regional laundry plants including out Des Moines, IA laundry plant which as been on operation since 2007.
The Laundry Supervisor is a hands-on leader who is accountable to daily outcomes of the laundry plant, problem solving and providing guidance to the production teams. The Laundry Supervisor is also responsible for executing the plant objectives including financial, safety, associate development, quality, and customer service. The Laundry Supervisor will manage a team ranging from 20-40 employees.
Working Hours: 2am - 12pm (Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays)
Responsibilities
- Supervise, mentor and lead production teams which included providing direction, training and coaching to improve KPIs and outcomes
- Monitor and manage the quality of output. Coach production teams and ensure quality control processes are followed
- Communicate with our Maintenance Team to maintain equipment and minimize downtime
- Ensure capacity is maximized in order to achieve on-time delivery performance and identify bottlenecks
- Collaborate with Transportation and Customer Service teams to ensure we are meeting expectations
- Foster a performance culture by owning labor productivity, scheduling of production employees and managing order fill rates
- Prioritize and enforce safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all employees
Skills
- Proven experience in laundry operations, including knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment.
- Previous experience in a supervisory role, preferably within a hotel or hospitality setting.
- Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication skills to effectively manage a team.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in all aspects of production.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
