Overview
Midwest Fab & Construction is seeking an experienced Combo Welder/Fabricator specializing in stainless steel fabrication for industrial food processing facilities, dairy plants, ethanol plants, and beef processing facilities.
This is not an entry-level welding position. Applicants should have strong fabrication skills and be able to work independently from drawings.
Responsibilities
- GTAW (TIG) stainless steel welding
- SMAW (Stick) welding
- FCAW (Flux Core) welding
- MIG welding as needed
- Read blueprints and fabrication drawings
- Lay out and fabricate equipment
- Install stainless piping
- Fabricate platforms, catwalks, conveyors, and supports
- Perform field installation and shop fabrication
- Maintain high-quality weld appearance
- Follow safety procedures
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of fabrication experience
- Strong TIG welding skills on stainless steel
- Experience with sanitary stainless welding preferred
- Able to read blueprints
- Able to fabricate without constant supervision
- Valid driver's license
- Willing to travel occasionally
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
