Duties
- Installs, repairs, and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventative maintenance.
- Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation.
- Dismantles machinery and removes/replaces defective parts.
- Determines changes in requirements of parts by inspecting and measuring various instruments.
- Maintains inventories of equipment parts and supplies by checking stock.
- Trains production workers on routine preventative maintenance.
- Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
- Prepares maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Read detailed schematics, blueprints, and drawings.
- Use hand tools and power tools to trim, cut, and fit components to final product.
- Weld and solder pieces together, align components, and connect them with bolts and screws to repair, install, or build equipment and machinery.
- May at times be asked to assist in production functions.
- Other duties as needed or assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to work overhead.
- Ability to bend and stoop.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in maintenance or related fields.
- Welding Certification preferred. Laser welding experience a plus.
- 5 years welding/fabrication experience required. Strong electrical, plumbing, mechanical, hydraulics, building related construction/remodeling and/or equipment operation is a plus.
- Basic computer skills are required.
Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour
