As Account Manager within the Mid-Atlantic region, you’ll play a crucial role in the continued expansion of Heat Trace Solutions with focus on manufacturing, commercial construction and contracting customers.
The Account Manager is responsible for both managing and expanding relationships with existing clients, as well as identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities with new customers. A successful candidate will have a proven track record in project estimation, construction sales, or project management with aptitude to sell mechanical or electrical devices in a consultative solution selling environment.
Client relationship management:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, issues, and escalations
- Understand customers’ business needs and objectives and proactively identify opportunities to add value and enhance the client experience
New business development:
- Lead the entire sales cycle from prospecting, lead generation, negotiation and closing new business opportunities within the territory
- Conduct thorough research to understand potential clients' business challenges and goals
- Develop tailored solutions and proposals to address clients' needs and position best product and service solutions
Sales Performance:
- Meet and exceed sales targets and performance metrics, including revenue goals, new customer acquisition targets, and sales activity quotas
- Effectively manage sales pipelines and opportunities in CRM software, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting
Collaboration, communication leadership, and professional development:
- Partner with internal teams, including marketing and customer support to align strategies and ensure seamless client experience
- Communicate client feedback, market insights, and competitive intelligence for product development and go-to-market strategies
- Collaborate with leadership teams to develop sales strategies, tactics, and processes to drive growth and achieve organizational objectives
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and competitor offerings
- Participate in training sessions, workshops, and other professional development activities to enhance sales skills and product knowledge
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related technical field
- Successful experience in construction sales, construction/project estimation, or industrial B2B account management and sales development.
- Experience with take-off/project estimating software preferred
- Proficiency in CRM software and other sales tools; ability to adapt to new technologies quickly
- Highly motivated and driven by results, with a proactive approach to prospecting and lead generation
- 1-hour commute proximity to Baltimore, MD or company sponsored relocation to Baltimore, MD
