Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of heavy-duty equipment and vehicles used in our transportation operations. Your expertise will ensure our fleet remains in top condition, supporting seamless logistics and operational excellence.
Shift
- Monday - Friday
- 2pm - 10pm
- Weekend off
- Paid Holidays off
Responsibilities
- Be highly self-motivated
- Must have own tools
- Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, and air brake systems.
- Conduct inspections and repairs on heavy equipment including semi tractors and trailers.
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues accurately.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete repair reports, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Assist with tire service, wheel alignments, shocks & struts replacements, and general vehicle maintenance tasks.
Skills
- At least 5 years of experience with heavy equipment or automotive repair highly preferred.
- Class A CDL Preferred
- Skilled in using schematics for troubleshooting electrical systems and complex machinery.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, and tractor-trailers safely and efficiently.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance procedures.
