Summary
Midwest Automotive Trucking is seeking a dedicated Class A CDL Back Up Driver to join our team at our Morris, IL location. Candidate must have at least 2 yrs Class A CDL experience and be reliable to show up for work. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring efficient delivery and loading/unloading of auto parts, contributing to our commitment of fast and reliable service. Your efforts will directly support our mission of enhancing customer satisfaction.
Shift:
- Monday - Friday Schedule
- 9am -3pm when working on the dock
- On call for filling in for driving routes when needed
- When filling in for routes, start times will vary between 4:30 am and 7 am
- Applicant will be doing dock work most days
- They will be backup drivers to cover vacations and sick time for other drivers as needed
- No Weekends
- Paid Holidays Off
Requirements:
- Morris, IL Home Terminal
- Class A CDL Required
- Recent Forklift Experience Preferred
- DOT Medical Card Required
- Company Owned Truck
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen
- Pre-employment background check required
- Have a clean driving record
- Must be reliable to show up to work

Responsibilities
- Operate a Class A CDL vehicle to transport goods efficiently and safely.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo when needed.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate deliveries and maintain schedules.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
