What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at Midwest Allergy Sinus Asthma, SC?
We are currently seeking a motivated and organized Medical Assistant to join our Allergy, Immunology & Respiratory Practice. You must have a strong clinical background and enjoy patient contact. Leadership ability is a must. We are seeking an individual with excellent interpersonal communication skills, strong problem solving skills and the ability to prioritize and multitask under pressure.
Job Duties Include:
- Patient intake & vitals
- Allergy testing and pulmonary function testing
- Extract preparation
- Administer subcutaneous allergy shots
- Administer IM and Nebulized Medications
- Prescription refills
- Prior authorizations
- Patient Calls
- Utilize electronic EMR
- Accurate and timely documentation, data entry, and reporting
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Certification in the state of Illinois in good standing preferred
- Family Practice or Internal Medicine experience
- Allergy/Asthma/Immunology experience would be beneficial but will train the right candidate
- BLS Certified
- Requires good computer and typing skills
- Ability to work independently with good nursing judgment, self-motivation and self-confidence
- Ability to travel to Satellite office locations.
Full-time or Part-time available. Office Hours Monday - Friday, and Saturday morning.
