The Director of Operations is responsible for the supervision and development of the Midwest Alarm Services Operations team, as well as ensuring quality customer service. This includes mentoring and empowering employees so as to complete tasks in a highly efficient manner as well as working with customers to ensure the work completed exceeds their expectations.

In this role, you will:
- Ensure the delivery of a quality customer experience through consistent and timely communication and accurate execution of projects and services
- Oversee inspections departments to ensure that inspections are completed as scheduled in the assigned timeframe
- Oversee service departments to ensure service is scheduled and completed in a timely manner
- Oversee the inventory process and Warehouse Manager
- Help to develop, promote and enforce operations policies and procedures for the branch
- Drive the development of service efficiencies and installation methods that will improve branch operations and customer support
- Hold meetings with staff as necessary
- Visit job sites and assist technicians as needed to ensure quality service and total customer satisfaction
- All other reasonable duties as assigned by the President of the Division specific to the operation of daily business functions

- Willingness to become involved with professional and civic organizations that will enhance the Midwest Alarm services image and profitability.
- Perform all supervisory/managerial responsibilities in a manner that fully complies with Midwest Alarm Services Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Policy and that meets the requirements of all related federal and state regulations. - Hire, train and mentor direct reports by making sound hiring decisions, training each new hire and current staff as needed and continually mentor staff in order to assist in the successful performance of your direct report(s).
- Address performance and behavior issues in a timely manner. Work with Human Resources when necessary regarding employee relations issues and follow through with appropriate action. Approach each issue fair and consistently in order to reduce Midwest Alarm Services legal risk.
- This role will require frequent travel among branches. Average travel requirements expected would be 3-5 days monthly.
What you’ll need:
- Associates in College Degree or BA/BS is required.
- 5-10 years’ management experience required
- Must know (or be familiar with) Notifier software.
- A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Must have the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Must be able to calculate figures and amounts such as, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Must have the ability to understand and read blueprints.
- Must be able to analyze financial reports and spreadsheets.
