The purpose of this position is to install, service and maintain commercial fire alarm and other Life Safety systems.

What you’ll be doing:
- Follow lead technician instructions
- Assist with service and repair specified electronic life safety systems and peripheral devices.
- Maintains compliance with company policies; consults with supervisor/management to ensure consistent corrective measures are taken and documentation completed
- Assist with testing and verifying that all systems and devices (alarm panels, sirens, horns, strobes, etc.) function properly and in accordance to manufacturer's specifications and to ensure excellent customer service
- Use a multimeter and various power/hand tools to troubleshoot and install various low voltage systems
- Complete proper paperwork and submit to the appropriate department on a daily basis.
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by interacting with the Midwest Alarm Services internal/external customers (including, but not limited to: current customers, prospective customers, clients, vendors, co-workers, supervisors and management) in a mutually respectful manner regardless of race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation and all other protected classes
- As this position develops, the employee may be assigned additional duties as deemed necessary by management
- Follow safety codes and building regulations
- Work on ladders and lifts
- Learn to use computer software to program systems
- Install raceways, cable, devices and components
- Read blueprints and other instructions to install systems and devices correctly
- Work overtime when required
What you’ll need:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
