Job Summary- Assist with in planning, coordination, and execution of campus events and activities. This role is ideal for a motivated student looking to gain experience in event management and community engagement.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a currently enrolled student and registered for classes
- Must meet all Work Study eligibility requirements through the Financial Aid Office
- Basic computer skills
- Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
Essential Functions
- Serves as point of contact for students seeking information about activities
- Help create and post promotional materials, including flyers, social media posts, and announcements.
- Office and clerical tasks
- Make copies
- Filing
- Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
- Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time
- The person in this position needs to move to other locations on campus occasionally
- Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation
- Use of manual dexterity
- The person in this position frequently communicates with others; must be able to exchange accurate information
- Frequently moves equipment or paperwork weighing up to 35 pounds
- Occasionally moves chairs or other movable furniture to set up for events
- Duties indoors and some outdoors
- Ability to work extended hours and attend Midland College or community events
Security Sensitivity- All Midland College positions are security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code §51.215, which authorizes the employer to obtain criminal history record information. An employment offer is contingent on completion of a satisfactory criminal background investigation.
Min Salary- $9.20 per hour
Max Salary- $9.20 per hour
