Classification Title- Part-Time Workforce Continuing Education Instructor
Work Location- ATC 3200 W. Cuthbert Avenue Midland, TX 79701
Job Summary- Successfully instruct designated entry-level accounting and QuickBooks courses in Workforce Continuing Education; Accounting courses include Accounting I, Accounting II, Introduction to Computerized Accounting, and Computerized Accounting Applications.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree
- Must be able to show proficiency in Intuit QuickBooks
- Must be available to instruct in afternoons or evenings
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Intuit QuickBooks User
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
- Instructional experience
- Experience creating lesson plans
Essential Functions
- Prepare and communicate clear educational objectives while presenting current and accurate course content to the student
- Maintain a professional teaching environment
- Communicate with Training Coordinator regarding room, media and copy needs
- Maintain control of purchased supplies for class
- Provide students with evaluation forms for completion
- Other duties as assigned

- Frequently moves equipment or paperwork weighing up to 20 pounds
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
- Use of manual dexterity
- Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation
- The person in this position frequently communicates with others; must be able to exchange accurate information
