Surgical Inventory Analyst

Position Summary
Responsible for the ongoing ordering and maintenance of all supplies used throughout the OR, Same Day Surgery, Endo and PACU.
Under General Supervision:
Places supply orders for the OR, Same Day Surgery, Endo and PACU.
Works with the specialty RN service leaders to establish and maintain par levels for these areas.
Unpacks and verifies for correctness all supplies that are received in the OR. Delivers these supplies to the requesting departments.
Reviews the inventory forecast report and follows up on all back-ordered supplies.
Creates and maintains specialty order sheets.
Attends the daily Surgical Booking Huddle and notifies all required vendors of upcoming cases.
Conducts daily audits for all cases, verifying what products and implants were used and documented in the patient record in EPIC with purchase order requests from vendors. Verifies Bill Only requests and submits to Purchasing to issue the POs.
Conducts daily charge posting in EPIC for all OR, ENDO, Cardiac Cath Lab, LDRP, IR and Surgi Center procedures.
Initiates the FSM request to Finance to create new products in Infor that will link with Epic.
Works with Purchasing and vendors to find substitute supply items when necessary.
Facilitates product and equipment recalls.
Attends Surgical Value Analysis Committee, Purchasing and financial audit meetings.
Collaborates with the Surgical Services Administrative Secretary to ensure accurate biologic inventory in the Tissue TrackCore System.

Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Good manual dexterity
Ability to read and write English
Attention to detail.
Ability to lift in excess of 25-50 lbs
Previous inventory experience .
Ability to work in a team environment
Good communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous hospital inventory experience
Computer skills including Google, INFOR, Tissue Track Core and EPIC.
Ability to stay organized and to be self sufficient on a daily basis
Ability to use inventory skills to optimize on hand quantities of supplies
