Position Highlights

Position Summary:
- Neonatal APRN or PA-C to provide expert, family-centered care in a Level II Special Care Nursery and birthing center!
- Collaborates with Pediatrician to manage both well newborns and infants with moderate medical needs.
- Attends deliveries & is skilled in newborn resuscitation & stabilization for potential transfer to a tertiary care center.
- Provides backup support to the Emergency Departments as needed for newborn emergencies.
- Additionally, the APP plays a key role in parent education, breastfeeding support, and discharge planning, while promoting patient safety and contributing to quality improvement initiatives in the nursery.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have at least two years of experience in a Level III/IV NICU.
- Currently licensed in the state of CT and holds CT CSP certificate and DEA license.
- Current NRP certification and/or instructor.
