Position Highlights

• Hours: Part-Time/32 hours (This is a benefits eligible position).

• Shift: Days, 1st Shift

Position Summary:

As an Environmental Support Technician you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe environment in all areas of Surgical Services, with a strong focus on terminal cleaning of the operating rooms and sterile processing.

This role involves turning over rooms between surgical cases and cleaning common areas. Assisting with departmental needs to include CSS (once trained). Ensures proper materials and supplies are stocked and available for use (to include carts and work spaces). This includes preparing the cleaning solution per manufacture guideline.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Six months experience in the Environmental Services Department preferred

• Must be able to understand and respond to basic verbal and written English language instructions

• Must understand and comply with pertinent Hospital infection control policies and procedures as well as the special cleaning needs of Surgery
