Qualifications:

GS-11: To be eligible at the GS-11 level, you must meet at least ONE of the following conditions, as defined below: Specialized Experience, Education, OR a combination of Education and Experience.

Specialized Experience: One full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-9 level.

Specialized experience is defined as experience that has equipped you with the competencies needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Qualifying experience must demonstrate possession of each of the following competencies: Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, and Problem Solving. Specialized experience is defined as the ability to provide Information Technology (IT) customer support services for an organization including installation, configuration and troubleshooting of hardware/software and networked systems, and maintenance of internet servers and websites. In addition, providing user training and assistance on a wide variety of applications, resolving complex IT issues, and management of web design and legal compliance.
OR
Education: a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; OR 3 full years of progressively higher graduate education leading to such a degree. This education must have been in one of the following fields or must have provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the following fields and must have required the development or adaptation of applications, systems, or networks: Computer Science, Engineering, Information Science, Information Systems Management, Mathematics, Operations Research, Statistics, or Technology Management;
OR
Combining Education and Experience: a combination of experience as described in A and graduate level education as described in B that when combined, are equivalent to 100% of the required qualifications. To qualify based on combination, graduate education must be in excess of 2 full years.

Interagency Career Transition Assistance Plan (ICTAP)- The ICTAP provides eligible displaced Federal competitive service employees with selection priority over other candidates for competitive service vacancies. If your agency has notified you in writing that you are a displaced employee eligible for ICTAP consideration, you may receive selection priority if: 1) this vacancy is within your ICTAP eligibility; 2) you apply under the instructions in the announcement; and 3) you are found well-qualified for this vacancy. Responsibilities:

If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for providing technical and analytical assistance which support the information management needs of the United States Attorney's Office. Typical work assignments will include:

· Performs testing, quality assurance, configuration, installation, implementation, maintenance and management of networked systems used for the transmission of information in data, voice and/or video format.
· Schedules the installation of new or modified hardware, operating systems and applications software, working closely with customers to insure seamless installation and minimize installation problems.
· Implements policies and procedures to ensure information systems reliability and accessibility and to prevent and defend against unauthorized access to systems, networks and data.
· Diagnoses and resolves problems in response to customer reported incidents;
· Provides administration support for database applications. This includes updating user access, determining and changing access privileges to directories and files, and establishing and setting up directory structures.

Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.

Salary : $75,278
