Receptionist and Resource Assistant – Bath, Maine
The Receptionist and Resource Assistant at Midcoast Maine Community Action’s (MMCA) Bath office supports the delivery, coordination, and administration of community-based programs, with a primary focus on the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Program. This position helps ensure that individuals and families throughout the communities we serve receive efficient, accurate, and compassionate service.
Working collaboratively with program managers, coordinators, and participants, the Receptionist and Resource Assistant provides reception, administrative, customer service, and program support to keep MMCA programs operating smoothly. Strong organization, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellent service are essential for connecting community members with resources that promote health, nutrition, and economic stability. This part-time position offers the opportunity to make a direct impact while advancing MMCA’s mission to empower people, strengthen communities, and reduce the effects of poverty throughout Midcoast Maine.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of experience in a related role.
- Experience in office reception or customer service.
- Proficiency with computers and common software, including word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
- Ability to follow office procedures and operate standard office equipment, including copiers, fax machines, and postage machines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective and efficient office procedures.
Compensation
Compensation is based on experience and qualifications.
Other Requirements
- A valid driver’s license, automobile insurance that meets state requirements, and access to reliable transportation are required. The Receptionist and Resource Assistant must follow MMCA policies for safe vehicle operation.
- Before employment begins, the selected candidate must successfully complete all required fingerprint-based criminal background, child protective services, sex offender registry, and motor vehicle record checks.
