Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and listen attentively to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs
- Clearly communicate service recommendations, estimates, and repair procedures with transparency and professionalism
- Schedule appointments efficiently, balancing customer needs with shop capacity to optimize workflow
- Upsell additional services or maintenance based on vehicle diagnostics and manufacturer recommendations to enhance vehicle performance and safety
- Collaborate closely with technicians to relay customer concerns, review repair progress, and ensure quality standards are met
- Manage service writing tasks accurately, including creating detailed work orders and processing invoices with precision
- Handle cash transactions securely while maintaining accurate records of all financial dealings
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any further questions or concerns
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Service Advisor or in an automotive dealership environment with a strong understanding of auto service management
- Knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, tires, oil changes, alignments, diesel engine repair, shocks & struts, air brake systems, auto body repair, and related services
- Ability to upsell services confidently while maintaining integrity and customer trust
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly yet professional demeanor
- Familiarity with auto estimating software and automotive repair processes
- Mechanical knowledge or mechanic experience is highly advantageous for effective communication with technicians
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in service writing and cash handling procedures
- Dealership experience is preferred but not mandatory; a passion for automotive care is essential
