About the Role
The Project Coordinator serves as a supporting project manager responsible for assisting in the management and execution of assigned precast concrete projects. Working under the direction of a Project Manager, this position ensures clear communication, accurate documentation, and coordination among all departments and customers. The Project Coordinator plays a key role in maintaining project schedules, facilitating production and field readiness, and delivering an exceptional customer experience while developing the skills necessary to advance into a Project Management role.
- Acts as a supporting point of contact for clients from project award through closeout.
- Communicate schedule updates, drawing submittals, and delivery information under the direction of the Project Manager.
- Attend project meetings, take notes, and follow up on assigned action items.
- Assist in Managing change orders and ensuring approvals are obtained and documented.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Drafting, Production, and Field Operations to align project milestones and schedules.
- Track progress of shop drawings, tickets, and production releases.
- Communicate updates to ensure deadlines are met and issues are escalated promptly.
- Maintain organized project files and records
- Distribute submittals, RFIs, meeting minutes, and change order logs at direction of Project Manager.
- Assist with contract documentation and project closeout deliverables.
- Update project tracking tools and reports for management review.
- Update Lois as directed by PM
- Actively engage in learning company systems, precast manufacturing processes, and project management procedures.
- Participate in mentoring and training sessions aimed at developing into a Project Manager role.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
1-3 years of experience in construction or project coordination experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Understanding of construction documents, project schedules, and sequencing
