About the Company - An "AV" law firm with offices located in Virginia is seeking dynamic and motivated Bankruptcy/Foreclosure Attorneys to join their MD/Virginia practice.
About the Role - This position is a full-time remote position in MD. A Maryland bar is required, and you must reside in or near the Baltimore, MD area.
Responsibilities:
- Draft bankruptcy motions and other filings;
- Attend hearings and court appearances;
- Communicate with clients, internal staff, and others to ensure cases are handled appropriately;
- Prioritize and manage a high volume of files with great attention to detail and under strict deadlines;
- Perform quality control reviews of documents and staff work.
- Demonstrate proficiency in inputting and maintaining information in a case management system to ensure data integrity.
- Handle a caseload by firm, client, and court timeline requirements;
- Analyze legal issues and review strategies for assigned matters with the Managing Attorney;
- Work with department staff to ensure timely updates to client systems and the firm’s case management system.
- Timely communication with clients on the status of case matters;
- Prepare and review a variety of legal documents for legal sufficiency and compliance with client directives and state/federal law;
- Research and analyze statutes, judicial decisions, and codes, and prepare foreclosure-related motions, complaints, responsive pleadings, and briefs;
- Review and analyze real estate law and real estate title cases, and have the ability to handle substantive real estate and title litigation matters;
- Prioritize and manage an assigned portfolio of work in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating great attention to detail and accountability.
