Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly, take their orders accurately, and provide menu recommendations to enhance their dining experience
- Prepare and serve food items efficiently, maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales transactions
- Upsell menu items to increase sales and promote specials or new offerings
- Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and ensuring the dining area is inviting and sanitary
- Handle cash transactions accurately, give correct change, and balance cash drawers at shift end
- Assist in food preparation when needed, supporting kitchen staff with basic culinary tasks
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or quick service & fast food restaurant environments preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math understanding, and order calculations
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while maintaining quality service
- Experience working in a café, grocery store, or retail setting is advantageous but not required
