Construction Manager (Contract)

Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to oversee and coordinate construction activities across multiple data center development sites. This dynamic role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership abilities who can effectively manage complex construction projects while ensuring quality, timeline adherence, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment, traveling extensively to multiple sites across the United States, and delivering clear, concise reports to project management stakeholders. This position plays a critical role in validating construction progress, identifying risks, and driving operational excellence across all assigned locations.
Job Responsibilities:
Travel to GPUaaS data center development sites at least once a month for each assigned position, with approximately 75% travel across up to 5 different DC development sites throughout the United States
Tour sites alongside the Service Provider's site team to inspect and validate progress of data center facilities construction
Compare actual work progress to reported status and identify key risks or discrepancies
Forecast timeline to milestone completion when progress falls behind schedule
Capture lessons learned and develop new ideas to support continuous improvement initiatives
Compile findings into comprehensive reports and deliver them to the GPUaaS Project Manager
Requirements:
5 or more years of experience in data center construction execution
5 or more years of experience in construction planning
5 or more years of experience in progress tracking and reporting
5 to 7 years of overall relevant experience required
Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field
PMI or PMP certification preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and accurate reports
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and effectively manage one's own time across multiple locations
Knowledge of production processes, quality control, and techniques for maximizing effective construction and distribution of resources
Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods

Pay Range*: $72 - $81.50 per hour
Weekly Schedule: 40 hours
Job Status: Non-Exempt
