As a Sr. Process Safety Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in our mission to ensure strong safety protocols and robust risk mitigation strategies. Responsibilities
- Lead and support core Risk-based PSM elements including Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), Management of Change (MOC), and Incident Investigation.
- Conduct detailed design reviews for new fabrication tools, systems, and chemical processes to ensure safety compliance and reliable performance.
- Evaluate changes to equipment, procedures, or processes for safety impacts and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Facilitate hazard identification and risk analysis using methodologies such as HAZOP, FMEA, and What-If analysis.
- Support technology transfers by preparing Safety Release Documents (SRDs), flammability studies, and hazard analyses.
- Track and report critical metrics to assess PSM program performance and drive closure of findings from reviews and investigations.
- Maintain process safety documentation including vendor bulletins, install packages, and compliance records.
- Promote a culture of safety through proactive engagement, training, and participation in audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemical engineering, Chemistry, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of experience in semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency in interpreting P&IDs, schematics, and technical documentation for design reviews and hazard analysis.
- Familiarity with RBPS, OSHA 1910.119, EPA 40 CFR Part 68, and semiconductor-specific safety standards.
- Strong communication and analytical skills with the ability to lead cross-functional safety initiatives and risk assessments.
- Demonstrated commitment to employee health and safety with integrity-driven decision-making.
- Deep understanding of chemical hazards in semiconductor manufacturing and mitigation strategies.
- Hands-on experience with PSM methodologies including PHA, MOC, and incident investigation.
- Certification in Process Safety or related disciplines (e.g., CSP, CIH, ASP) is a plus.
- Experience managing safety documentation systems and driving continuous improvement through audits and metrics.
