Position Overview
As a Surface Scientist Intern, you will contribute to the development of next-generation memory solutions by applying surface science techniques to semiconductor devices and thin film materials. This internship offers hands-on experience with advanced instrumentation and collaborative research projects aimed at improving sample preparation and characterization methods.

This internship offers hands-on experience with advanced instrumentation and collaborative research projects aimed at improving sample preparation and characterization methods.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Surface Scientists to evaluate and enhance sample preparation and analysis techniques
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze data and identify process improvement opportunities
- Innovate and refine techniques using existing analytical tools
- Participate in technical meetings to explore new approaches and opportunities
- Document research findings through reports and presentations
- Currently pursuing a Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related field
- Working knowledge of analytical instrumentation such as XPS, SIMS, APT, FIB, SEM, TEM, and electrical characterization techniques
- Strong technical, communication, and analytical skills
- Passion for learning and problem-solving in a collaborative environment
- Experience with surface science techniques in a semiconductor or research setting
- Ability to present complex technical information to diverse audiences
- Familiarity with laboratory operations and measurement strategies
- Demonstrated creativity in applying scientific tools to novel challenges
- Proven ability to work independently and contribute to team-based projects
