- PhD in electrical or computer engineering or a closely related field, from an accredited institution.
- Professional certifications in electronics, electrical machinery, industrial control, automation, or related areas.
- Teaching experience at the postsecondary level, including laboratory teaching.
- Two years of relevant industrial experience.
- Technical expertise in electrical circuits, electronics, and control systems.
- Demonstrated commitment to undergraduate and graduate teaching and student success.
- Evidence of strong oral and written communication and presentation skills.
- Evidence of hands-on technical skills in an electronics laboratory setting.
- Evidence of engineering software skills related to job performance.
- Knowledge of industrial control and automation
- Demonstrated success in, or potential future contributions to, working with people with a wide variety of backgrounds and viewpoints.
The work environment includes that of a typical office and/or classroom setting and that of an electronics laboratory with ordinary 60 Hz single phase line voltages. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
