Key Responsibilities
School Improvement, Data Management, and Analysis
- Reviews, analyzes, and interprets state and local school district data to organize and prepare results into appropriate reports that support district and school initiatives.
- Works closely with instructional staff to analyze data and develop plans aimed at increasing student achievement and improving instructional services.
- Leads professional development to support school staff with the district data dashboard and formative assessment system, ensuring alignment with district and school improvement goals.
- Provides training to instructional staff and school administrators to support the effective use of assessment data within the instructional program.
- Manages and maintains the district data dashboard to ensure accurate and accessible data for all stakeholders
District Assessment Coordinator
- Develops district processes and professional development aligned to state requirements for all summative and district assessments. This includes managing the district assessment calendar, conducting Test Security Training for all staff, and overseeing the ordering, proper storage, distribution, and collection of all test materials.
- Serves as the primary school district liaison with state and local officials regarding all testing procedures and standards.
- Provides technical assistance to school and central office administrators, working with building administrators to ensure effective test measurements according to proper procedures and resolving concerns during the testing window.
- Ensures timely communication with school administrators, teachers, students, and parents regarding test preparation, administration, collection, and changes in testing formats.
- Develops appropriate assessment measures, methods, and materials for assessing student performance and achievement aligned to the curriculum.
English Language Learner (ELL) Program
- Oversees the district's ELL program, ensuring proper identification, screening, and annual language proficiency assessments.
- Ensures district-wide compliance with state and federal ELL guidelines.
- Provides instructional coaching and resources to staff to ensure ELL students receive appropriate accommodations and high-quality instruction.
High Ability Program
- Manages the district-wide identification and evaluation process for high ability and gifted students.
- Coordinates programming and services for high ability learners across all grade levels to ensure continuous academic growth.
- Supports instructional staff in differentiating the core curriculum and implementing advanced academic strategies.
Grant Management
- Supports aspects of federal, state, and local grant programs as directed by the Curriculum Director.
- Writes, monitors, and supports the submission of grants, ensuring that grant budgets and expenditures remain compliant with requirements.
- Aligns grant program activities with district goals and provides aligned professional development.
- Engages community stakeholders in grant proposal development and prepares performance reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education.
- Strong data analysis skills.
- Knowledge of English Language Learners (Required for ELL coordination duties).
- Ability and experience to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lead collaboratively with others.
- Commitment to working in an economically and racially diverse community.
- Grant writing experience.
- Preferred: Experience managing digital data dashboards and coordinating High Ability programming (Added qualification).
