Position Title: Grant Support Specialist
Position Overview
The Kankakee-Iroquois Regional Planning Commission (K-IRPC) is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Grant Support Specialist to provide essential administrative support for grant management and broader community and economic development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting office staff with projects
- Maintain grant files, documentation, and compliance records (digital and physical)
- Track grant deadlines, reporting requirements, and key milestones
- Assist with preparation and submission of grant reports and supporting materials
- Enter and manage data related to grant activities and projects
- Coordinate with program staff to collect required documentation and metrics
- Help manage grant calendars and internal reporting systems
- Assist with coordination of meetings, events, and stakeholder engagement activities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a professional office.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and/or Google Workspace
- Comfortable working with data tracking and documentation systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Valid Drivers License
- Grant experience is helpful, but not a must.
