Artisan Bread Baker

Our Bakery is seeking an experienced, dependable, and highly skilled Artisan Bread Baker to join our production team in Eagle-Vail, Colorado. The ideal candidate must have at least two years of professional experience in a commercial artisan bakery, hotel, restaurant, or similar high-volume environment and be capable of independently managing the daily production of artisan breads and rolls for both retail and wholesale customers.

Responsibilities include reviewing production orders and recipes, accurately scaling and mixing ingredients, maintaining sourdough starters, controlling natural and yeast fermentation, dividing, shaping, proofing, scoring, and baking dough, and adjusting time, temperature, and humidity to ensure consistent results under changing production and high-altitude conditions. The baker will operate professional mixers, dividers, proofers, and ovens; evaluate finished products for volume, crust, crumb, color, texture, and overall quality; maintain production and inventory records; control waste; organize ingredients and work areas; and follow strict food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards.

Candidates must be organized, reliable, able to work efficiently under pressure, stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and be available for early-morning shifts, weekends, and holidays as required. Strong knowledge of artisan breads, sourdough production, fermentation, and commercial baking equipment is required.

COMPENSATION $20.00 - $25.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
