Job Description
The Superintendent will be responsible for:
- Oversee daily on-site construction activities to ensure work is completed on schedule and in compliance with project plans.
- Develop and maintain the overall project schedule in coordination with the Project Manager.
- Lead daily/weekly subcontractor coordination meetings to communicate goals, address issues, and ensure alignment.
- Monitor manpower levels and adjust workforce planning as needed to maintain productivity.
- Ensure all subcontractors and personnel adhere to company safety programs, OSHA standards, and site-specific safety protocols.
- Verify material deliveries, manage inventory, and ensure proper storage and installation of materials.
- Perform routine quality checks to confirm workmanship meets project specifications and industry standards.
- Assist in coordinating equipment needs, logistics, and site access to optimize workflow.
- Identify potential risks or delays early and collaborate with the project team to implement corrective actions.
- Train, mentor, and support field staff and craft workers to ensure high performance and professional development.
The Successful Applicant
The Superintendent Will Have
- 3 year's experience in large scale commercial ground-up construction
- Previous Light Industrial, Warehouse, Distribution Center, Cold Storage project $25M preferred
- Tilt wall, pre-cast, and cast-in-place concrete is a plus
- Complete understanding of the construction process
- Ability to create and maintain a master schedule
- Must be proficient in reviewing and understanding all construction documents including specifications and drawings
- Excellent communication skills with various parties including management, subcontractors, consultants, architects, vendors, and clients
- Self-motivated
- Willing to take on multiple responsibilities and complete a variety of tasks to complete projects on time
The Superintendent Will Be Offered
- $110,000 - $130,000 base salary dependent on experience
- 10-15% bonus
