Job Description
- Design and develop mechanical components and systems for both new and existing products
- Lead mechanical design efforts from concept development through prototyping, validation, and production release
- Create and maintain 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and technical documentation
- Perform engineering analyses, including tolerance analysis, thermal and structural evaluation, FMEA, and DFA/DFM
- Develop and execute test plans, analyze results, and recommend design improvements
- Partner with manufacturing to ensure designs are scalable, manufacturable, and cost-effective
- Support prototype builds, validation testing, and new product launches
- Participate in design reviews and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with suppliers and external partners for component development
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards, regulations, and internal procedures
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience, preferably within an R&D environment
- Strong proficiency in CAD tools (experience with NX and Windchill/Creo is a plus)
- Experience with full product development lifecycle and prototype testing
- Solid understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes
- Ability to create and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
- Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Salary: $110,000 - $130,000
