Job Description
- Design, program, and develop PLC‑based control systems for custom automation equipment
- Work with Rockwell and Siemens PLC platforms across a variety of customer applications
- Develop and integrate robotic systems using platforms such as Fanuc and ABB
- Support full project lifecycle efforts including concept development, programming, testing, debugging, and commissioning
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and build teams to ensure seamless system integration
- Provide hands‑on troubleshooting support during system build, testing, and onsite startup
- Participate in project planning, timelines, and coordination to meet customer requirements
- Support equipment modifications, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Document control architectures, programs, and system changes clearly and consistently
The Successful Applicant
- Strong experience as a Controls Engineer or Senior Controls Engineer in an automation or systems integration environment
- Hands‑on PLC programming experience with Rockwell and/or Siemens platforms
- Exposure to industrial robotics such as Fanuc, ABB, or similar OEMs
- Experience supporting project‑based, custom automation equipment
- Ability to manage multiple technical priorities across different stages of a project
- Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative, team‑oriented mindset
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast‑paced engineering environment
- Education is beneficial, but practical experience is valued over formal credentials
