Job Description
As the Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO), you will be responsible for maintaining a safe, compliant, and proactive working environment across active construction sites.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local occupational health and safety regulations
- Implement and enforce company safety policies and site-specific safety plans
- Conduct safety training, toolbox talks, and ongoing workforce education
- Identify potential hazards and drive corrective and preventative actions
- Manage incident reporting, investigations, and documentation
- Partner with project leadership to embed a strong safety culture on site
The Successful Applicant
For the Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO) role, we are seeking:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health, Safety, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a safety-focused role within construction or a related industry
- Strong working knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations
- Experience developing safety programs, procedures, and training materials
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification strongly preferred
- Competitive compensation up to $110,000, depending on experience
- Full-time, on-site role with long-term project visibility
