Job Description
- Lead all on-site construction activities for a ground-up multifamily project, from vertical construction through closeout, ensuring delivery on schedule and within budget
- Oversee day-to-day jobsite operations, including subcontractor management, field coordination, and workforce planning
- Develop and maintain project schedules, proactively identifying risks and adjusting sequencing to meet key milestones
- Enforce OSHA safety standards and implement quality control measures across all phases of construction
- Coordinate closely with project managers, ownership, and design teams to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines
- Identify and resolve field issues, delays, and coordination challenges to maintain project momentum
- Conduct regular site walks and inspections to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and workmanship standards
- Maintain accurate daily reports, logs, and documentation to track progress and support project execution
The Successful Applicant
- 20 years of experience in multifamily construction, with a strong focus on ground-up projects
- Extensive experience building wood-frame / garden-style apartment communities (required)
- Proven ability to lead large-scale projects as the lead superintendent, with full ownership of site operations
- Strong knowledge of scheduling, subcontractor management, jobsite safety, and QC/QA processes
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to run teams, hold subcontractors accountable, and drive performance
- Hard-nosed, hands-on builder mentality with the ability to operate independently and make critical field decisions
- Strong communication skills with experience working alongside ownership and senior leadership
- Interest and capability to grow into a regional or multi-project leadership role
- Base salary ranging from $120,000 to $150,000, depending on experience
- Performance-based bonus structure targeting 20%-25%
- Vehicle package including truck allowance, with company truck options available for top performers
- Travel support including lodging and GSA per diem when applicable
