Responsibilities
Job Description
- Lead preconstruction strategy including scheduling, logistics, and execution planning
- Oversee estimating efforts from conceptual design through GMP development
- Manage bid processes including scope alignment, leveling, and reconciliation
- Direct project buyout in collaboration with Project Management teams
- Coordinate cross-functionally to deliver high-quality, client-ready proposals
- Manage multiple pursuits simultaneously while aligning internal resources
- Build and maintain subcontractor/vendor relationships and monitor market trends
- Serve as the primary client point of contact during the preconstruction phase
The Successful Applicant
A Successful Senior Preconstruction Manager Should Have
- 10-15 years of experience in preconstruction, estimating, or construction management
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
- Multifamily project experience strongly preferred
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
- Strong subcontractor and vendor management experience
- Experience leading teams and mentoring junior staff
- Proficiency with Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, and/or P6
